Our CSA season in a glance

Did you ever wonder what a season of CSA produce looks like, well here it is.

All this wonderful produce came to me from my wonderful farmers, Ryan and Isabelle at Field Good Farms I would like to thank them (and their great helper, Mike) for all their hard work and wish them a nice rest now before they start planning for 2014.

First CSA basket of organic goodies arrives

First basket of organic goodies

Finally, our first CSA basket was ready for pick up today.

Our share had two kinds of lettuce, field greens, baby spinach, arugla, radish and basil. My car smelt amazimg all the way home.

My first thoughts went to “Gernat’s Pasta”, an Italian/German inspired dish and then to “Basil Pesto with Pasta”. Following close behind were ” ‎Zuppa di Lattuga Aglio” (translation, Garlic Lettuce Soup, but it sounds so much more delicious in Italian, don’t you think?). Then finally Vietnamese Spring Rolls.
